WORKING MECHANISM
The working mechanism of the Skill Development Council (SDC) Karachi involves several key components:
SDC Karachi conducts thorough assessments to identify the skills and training needs of various industries and individuals in the region.
Based on the needs assessment, SDC Karachi designs and develops specialized curricula that cater to the specific requirements of both the job market and trainees.
SDC Karachi collaborates with industries, educational institutions, and government bodies to ensure the relevance and quality of its training programs.
SDC Karachi offers a variety of value- added technical, vocational, and IT training programs that are up-to-date with current industry standards and practices.
Upon completion of the training programs, SDC Karachi provides participation level certification to trainees, which is recognized by employers and industries.
SDC Karachi regularly reviews and updates its programs to incorporate the latest technological advancements and industry trends, ensuring continuous improvement in training quality.

THE EXPERT
Scott William
DIRECTOR OF MEMBER SERVICES, MARKETING, AND RECRUITMENT
Director of Member Services, Marketing, and Recruitment, Mr. Scott William has previously served as Vice President of Member Services and Marketing and Vice President of Accreditation and Compliance, and is now responsible for social and print media, public relations, new member recruitment, and member services for SDCC. He also works with individual schools on application processes, workshops, accreditation questions and compliance issues.
Anny Leo
DIRECTOR
Anny Leo, Director, has been a member of the higher education community for over 30 years. Her professional career has included tenured and administrative positions in universities throughout various regions of Canada. She is a sought-after thought leader on accreditation, multicultural diversity and inclusion. Ms. Leo is an ardent advocate for quality assurances and transparency in higher education and is committed to the advancement of college success, equity and integrity in higher education.
Alisha Steven
DIRECTOR OF ACCREDITATION
Alisha Steven joined the Council as a Senior Analyst. In her current position as the Director of Accreditation, she is charged with overseeing the operations for the Accreditation Department of SDCC. This primarily includes the management of the application for accreditation processes, the execution of on‐site evaluations, and all of the reporting and responses the Commission will need as a result.
Alex Nan
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Alex Nan, as the Executive Director, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Accrediting Commission, managing the day-to-day operation of SDCC Ontario office, and overseeing the accreditation process for 700 post-secondary institutions.
Nathan Gregory
DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW AND DEVELOPMENT (IRD)
Nathan Gregory joined SDC Canada in 2019. In his current position as Director of Institutional Review and Development (IRD), he oversees the IRD department including overall departmental operations and processes, substantive changes, and all areas of institutional compliance including regulatory agency notices.
Thomas Robert
PROGRAMME HEAD
Thomas Robert, Program Head, joined SDC Canada in September 2021. He oversees SDC Canada’s Standards for all company programs, guaranteeing adherence to the highest standards of education, safety protocols, and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. He also leads quality, customer satisfaction initiatives for SDC Canada and provides executive leadership for the Regulatory, Quality, and Project Management Office departments
